A Concert Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor
7:30 p.m., Orvis Auditorium, free admission

The attack on Pearl Harbor was one of the most significant events that shaped American history. Today, on the 70th Anniversary of the attack, mezzo-soprano Maya Hoover, violinist Ignace Jang, pianist Jonathan Korth, cellist I-Bei Lin, and tenor Laurence Paxton perform music written as reactions to and in memorial of this event and World World II, along with first-hand stories and insight told by veterans and survivors. Please join us for what is expected to be a powerful evening of music and remembrance.

The program will include:

Shostakovich Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor, Op. 67
Songs by Argento, Helfman, and Korngold
1940's Favorites including 'Remember Pearl Harbor'
A portion of Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time
